It is not just the cables that have 1KOhm resistance built into them. The rotor tip to tip is 1KOhm, the Cap from inside point to outside connection is also 1KOkm and the wire from the cap to the coil is also 1KOhm. So you need to source a cap and rotor that fit as well as all the wires.
