Yeah I have all but given up on the fact that it exists for the M271. I've been to the dealer, they say they only have the paper version on file for this engine.

It just ticks me off that they "sell" their customers on the idea of going longer 'tween oil changes. A lot, a lot of people don't even read their manuals other related materials and take their word for it. Which yeah is maybe truly the customers' fault. BUT, MB shouldn't pushing this idea, then hide in their product manuals that you need use 229.5 oil WITH fleece filters in order to take advantage of the long intervals tween oil changes. Then turn around put a sticker on the engine hood to use fleece filters...but not even sell the d-mn filter.

I'll just stick to my old method of ev' 5k miles for the change.
