need some fast help, Doing valve adjustment!!

i am in the middle of my valve adjustment on my 240D. i just took the valve cover off, and found something interesting. the cam lobes are clean, and with that i mean there is no black oil on them. they almost seem dry, with only a super minute layer on them, but it seems dry.

yesterday i changed the oil to Rotella Syn 5W 40, and i drove it about 5 miles. so would this explain the clean cams. i mean they look dry. i have a pic below, should i be concerned?

also while i was under the car, i took a picture of my linkages? i have a 4 speed, and when i shift i hear a light metal clinging, like there is some loose gap when somewhere when i am shifting.

took pics of the linkages underneath, there is a large gap between where i am pointing, kind seems like there is supposed to be some rubber grommit in there to keep it from being loose. can someone help me ID some parts?

thanks everyone
