Didn't know specifically what you were asking. Did you mean acknowledge the starving people or Isreal.
The big deal is the big deal. What have would happen to acknowledge Isreal? You say "you don't have to think it". Not true.
1. Acknowledging Isreal and it's right to exist means they have to give up fighting with Isreal. That means that everything that they have stood for in the past goes down the toilet. Hamaas instantly disbands because it now serves no purpose. It has nothing left to fight for. Think those in Hamaas want that? What would YOU do if I asked you to spend your time to develope a process to make yourself obsolete?
2. Say they just give lip service and don't follow thru with any positive moves. Now what? Think that people are just going to say "Oh, you said this, that or the other so all is well. You can go on with business as usual."? What is going to happen if they don't follow thru with some concrete actions? Let me ask you. What if I wrecked your car and said "It's my fault. I'll pay." and then later don't pay up? You going to forget it or go sue me or whatever your insurance company wants to do?
