I think most DIYers understand that there are times when you have to be smart and give the job over to a professional. This forum is one of the tools to help us make that decision. Let's give these guys the information they are looking for so they can decide what is appropriate for their skill level. If they need to buy/rent/borrow some exotic tool, it's up to them. Personally, I would have no problem spending $50 for a tool if it allows me to do the job myself and save $100. I save money, I get to keep the tool, and, because I enjoy working on my cars, I feel good about it. If you love the smell of an old garage in the morning, you know what I mean.

Anyway, off the soapbox... Unfortunately, I can't help with the flex disk question. I hope someone will chime in with some guidance.
