I find it strange that people try to discredit criticism of the PNAC by saying that the criticism is nothing more than a conspiracy theory. There is no need to concoct any conspiracy theory to be alarmed about what the PNAC had in mind. The first sentence on their website says: "The Project for the New American Century is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to a few fundamental propositions: that American leadership is good both for America and for the world; and that such leadership requires military strength, diplomatic energy and commitment to moral principle." And it all goes downhill from there. I have no problem with American leadership, but these guys took it to an extreme, IMHO. The failure of their venture illustrates the dangers of arrogance.
