Actually that first paragraph you so kindly quoted sounds like a fine idea to me.
They did promote some ridiculous ideas in their "propositions"... but that's not the point.
The point is no one CARES. They are/were FAR from being the first group of blowhards who got together and wrote down a few radical ideas, and they won't be the last. Some cause actual problems, but most are ineffective idealsists. They come and go. BFD. Who cares. Only a handful of people (like Z, for instance) get worked up about it. Everyone else treats it as the irrelevant nonsense that it is.
