I don't think he's asking about converting the car to RHD. But instead, wondering if the 5-speed from a RHD car will work on a LHD car... Cant see why it wouldn't.

I would be willing to bet that converting a LHD Mercedes to a RHD Mercedes is impossible. The cowling sheet metal is all wrong for the steering column and HVAC. RHD vehicles would need a cowl/firewall that was something like a mirror image of the LHS car.
