I never claimed to know what was presented to the grand jury. But I also know that members of the grand jury are human, and they are not immune to what goes on in the world, and in the media. Unless they've been living under a rock, they know about McKinney, and what she does, and what kind of race-baiting, babbling moron she is.
I don't see how the case could have been any more cut-and-dry. She attempted to bypass the security checkpoint, and when an officer tried to stop her from doing so, she physically assaulted him. Period. End of story.
If you or I had done that, we WOULD have been charged. This I DO know.
You are smarter than this. You MUST be arguing the other side merely for argument's sake.
The reason she continues to get re-elected boils down to two things. One: Her opponents in recent elections haven't had much to offer, so she wins "by default". And two: Race, of course. And partisanship. She is black, and the district she is from is predominantly black. She is a Democrat, and the district is predominantly democratic, so.... Unfortunately, we're stuck with her for now.
