Forgive me if I don't quite understand what your asking. As you seem to have a good grasp on what's what. If you are asking how to remove the plastic rivets you pull the inside part most or all the way out and than the outer part that does the actual holding will pull out.
If you want the exact procedure on how to remove the liner you will have to wait for another post as I am not familiar with your model year.
