This part is the Purge Switch-Over Valve.
It is controlled by the engine ECU .
When energized, it draws fuel vapors from the charcoal canister
into the intake for burning.
Part of the emission system and it will bring up a code 21 on your Led/sw diagnostic socket next to the battery when it fails to operate.
