Although I've never really delved into the diesel engine beyond filter changes and priming, they seem really simple to maintain. My car had not run for 4 yrs, rod thru the block. Swapped the engine, did the drip timing thing on the IP, while I was at it loosened the remaining 4 injector fittings on he IP, changed filters and hand primed, then cranked until fuel flowed form all IP ports. Tightened all down and finished assy, left lines loose @ injectors, cranked again until fuel @ injectors. Tightened, cranked 1.5 turns and fired off like it ran yesterday.......Jus' brings tears to your eyes.....don't it?
