i would think a 617 would fit nicely into a 107. it surely isnt any taller than a 110 and they came with those in europe.
in fact i would guess a 617 is a bit shorter than a 110 engine.
but they probably are the same height.
i am not advocating this swap because it may make the car about saleproof, but on the other hand the 107s arent worth that much because of their large numbers and in the end if you want it and like it who cares? it may take a while but eventually you will probably be able to sell it to a diesel nerd...like me.
