Fuel vent line leaking

Today I noticed my '83 300D is leaking fuel (B100) from behind the drivers side seat underneath the car. Looks like a fuel vent line. Its a steady drip. I removed the fuel twist cap and I could hear the pressure releave. The drip rate increased. The tank is full - I filled up last night.

Is fuel suppose to leak from this vent?

Would this be due to the heat today? Its close to 100F here.

Or do I have another problem?

Thanks
