I improvised per above with the plastic pieces that go under the clamps, so the stock clamps were a little small. Local hardware store had ones that worked fine for under a buck, likely I could have used one size smaller and the stock plastic pieces if they were in good shape. If I had a mint condition car then rigging wouldn't have the same appeal.
