You should be able to insert the key into the trunk lock, turn it to arm the system, and then be able to turn it the other way, allowing you to disarm the system. That should allow you to start the car.
On my SL600, I accidentaly tripped the alarm by bumping the arm button on the remote, and hitting the brake pedal. The alarm got set off honking, and flashing lights. I tried to disarm it by turning the key in the ignition, but it didnt work. (But the starter was turning. It was just that it would no catch, as it does not engage the fuel pump). I just yanked the key, and hit the button.
