I know, but I still trust gravity, myself.

For what this probably costs, you could probably just pay someone a few $100 to chase down and fix all the leaks. Besides, it sounds like you are supposed to remove it and periodically replace the absorbent pad anyway. BTW, what happens in a heavy rain, does this pad get saturated with water?
