Actually, I think it's a fairly decent idea. I've toyed with the idea of making one for a few years now, although I've always pictured it as being clipped onto the bolted on crossmember below the rear main. give the guy credit for executing a possibly decent solution to a real problem. I used to park well away from friend's houses/driveways before I rebuilt my engine because of the leaking from the rear main - and fixing that is a bit more than a few hours work, I've done it.
