The vacuum diagrams I have don't seem to answer my questions. In the first pic, there's a rubber vacuum connector attached to the side of the aluminum body of the device marked with a question mark, but no vacuum line plugged into it. (BTW, is that device part of the cruise control?)

In the second pic, there's a black vacuum line that ends with an open-ended rubber connector, again with no other vacuum line connected. This black line is not long enough to reach the connector described above. Also visible in this pic are the white and brown vacuum lines that connect to the device noted above.

Throttle and cruise seem to work okay. Am I missing something?
