Zounds like it could be anyone of z following items:

• Idler pulley
• Fan bearing bracket
• Tensioner roller
• Water pump

You can use a long screw driver as a stethoscope, place it on the indvidual idler pullies, move it to the fan bearing bracket and voila.........you vill uncover z culprit.
