I have Ross-Tech for my VW and love it! Will also read emissions related info (anything that will activate the CEL) on the MBZ, as will OBD2. However there is no way to read the transmission, 4wd, SRS, etc related codes on a Mercedes, that I know of.

I have not explored the options from Snap-on, they are quite expensive for the amateur wrench.
