I would trust that car again after it's repaired you just need to inspect it well. I think the most important part of an oil change is the inspection. I used to charge around $100 for an oil change and inspection most of my customers had no problem with it as long as nothing fell off the car.

Post a picture of the hole in that diff. You might be able to weld the hole back up and save yourself some money.
