Porsche rotors come in 6400 rpm 7400 rpm limits...regular style Bosch rotor like the early VW's and such. VW lists a 5400 rpm rotor for the 17/18/2000cc Buses.

If the Bosch distributor on yours is like those, you can simply adjust the rpm cutout speed by altering the spring tension or anchor on the rotor. In the UK all our rebuilt/new motors where fitted with these 5400 rpm rotors and distributor cap was sealed .

Your 110 motor, if built during the early 80's was fitted with a 6 cyl' Bosch cast iron distributor of the correct rotor size for these cut out rotors...if my memory serves..
