Just tweek the little metal anchor on the rotor back away from the spring....rev it up to 6 and a bit, see if it miss fires....
WARNING Due to the random and erratic nature of the limiting devise, unfortunate users have had cranks snap at the higher limits..7k or so....cut out rotor causes violent miss fire if rev'd with no load.
It was a 'in gear-on the road' limiter, in case you couldn't hear the rev's.
You'd be better of with the VW bus rotor and adjust it to 5500 rpm or so, by streching the spring a little..
