If we're talking (essentially free) advertising, this is it -- logo'd polo shirts. Here's my idea:

1) Pick a couple nice base polo shirt styles (not just bland one-color models).
2) All logos are embroidered.
3) Mercedes Star on left breast.
4) MercedesShop Wrench just below the Star.
5) Left and/or right sleeves -- "tirerack.com" logo, "Meguiars's" logo, "Flitz" logo.
6)"MercedesShop.com" font embroidered on back just below the collar (maybe 3/8" high font).

To offset the embroidery setup costs (i.e.- digitizing corporate/company logos; usually around $50 to $100 each), you can get the sponsors to front the fees. There are a "ton" of companies out there who do corporate logo items. Lucent Technologies uses Osterman API (1-800-624-8637), Motorola uses Pro-Mac (1-800-859-8856).

I have many sponsor logo'd polo shirts from F1 and Indy Car race teams. Let me tell you, they get a lot of attention.

I'd be willing to spend $40 or so for a nicely-done MercedesShop.com polo shirt . What say the rest of you? Let's make this the best dang Mercedes forum site ever (not that it isn't already ). I think the polo shirts will be a great start (can you imagine the looks on your MBZ tech's face when he sees you in a MercedesShop.com polo -- right, Benzmac?) In the near future, I'd like to see my MBZ technician (and ALL techs for that matter) use this forum as an information exchange/database. Medical doctors do it now, why not for cars (seems like we pay more to maintain our cars than our bodies ).

Anyways, gotta get off my dang soapbox -- over and out . . .

Brian
