you might want to consider Fort Laramie (near Torrington). It has been restored (mostly) and really captures life there (baking bread, gardens, store, saloon, reenactors, etc).
Hole in the Wall (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) is up north (west of devils tower).
Cody has Winchester Museum and the Million Dollar Bar (lots and lots of silver dollars).
Hells half acre (southwest corner) is full of dinosaur bones.
State Museum in Cheyenne is full of cowboy stuff (chian frontier days starts in a couple of weeks if you have never seen a full blast rodeo).
the state parks behind Glendo and Guernsey dams go for miles of nothing but "deer and the antelope play" (biggest herd of antelope in the world
(250,000+) are near Casper.
probably are some more but its been awhile since i grew up there
