I've always been curious to know why gravel trucks like to use the left lane, regardless of traffic conditions. Here in Colorado it seems to be the norm. In fact, I'm inclined to think that there may be an actual reason that gravel trucks use the left lane (I'm not being sarcastic, really), but I just can't figure out what it is. Perhaps they position themselves relative to the crosswind so that their debris will blow off the road instead of into traffic. Or maybe they really like causing traffic jams. I just don't know.
