Paperclips are cool and all, but I once used one to jumper a connection like that and it turned out to be a short circuit and blew the fuse. The paperclip actually melted and fused into the wiring harness I had it in when I did this so then I had to pay $$$ to replace the harness. Basically I would suggest investing in some short pieces of nice copper wire for testing or jumpering stuff like that. Just a thought.
