The SLC is a rust bucket with only 65k miles and not worth fixing. All mechanical components and interior are good. The body of my SL is in very good shape and therefore I thought swaping the engine and components incl. rear end would make sense. To make it easy I thought to drop the subframe including engine and tranny. Has some done that? How difficult is it to swap the entire wiring harness? I noticed that the instrument panel is in km/h. The SLC also has cruise, heated seats and power windows. All that could be swaped. Am I realistic here?
Any input is appreciated.
