Start over! I am telling you, you will love it!
I was tired of using a tape cassette adapter to play my music with and my fader switch was so corroded and dirty, that I would have to find small sweet spots in the fader wheel where I could actully get music from all 4 speakers.
I replaced the headunit with a Pioneer 680MP very very nice unit sounds great on the 4 new Infinity 5.25" I installed all around.
I bypassed the fader switch for now, its really easy to so once you open that area up, it all makes sense what you need to do bypass the fader once you glance at the wiring.
I am planning on installing all new wiring for the speakers later and adding 6" subs to the front doors with a amplifier.
I did not do it all at once since I did not want to spend so much money at once.
I got the head unit for $200 and the speakers for $100 for all for.
Tools you need are wire cutter, soldering gun with good quality solder, and some electrical tape, oops also a philips screwdriver to remove the wood trim.
Re do it!
