I think I exposed the fault

The flat copper tube coil is crimped and soldered at both ends- I believe the end that I pointed out has a little crack or something in the solder joint. Can't figure out how to separate the guage any further, as in how to get the needle off, etc. I may try to solder the end and see if it works out, but since I can't get to the inside if the tube it may be useless. Oh well I got another one on order. This guage had been leaking before I got the car, and the padding behind the cluster and on the backside of the kick panel proves it.
