Freeze 12 works as well as R12, it is 80 percent R134 and the other 20 percent is a gas that carries the oil thru the system. The only drawback that I have seen is the gas that carries the oil leaks faster than the 134 and the oil stops flowing thru the system. Leading to compressor failure!
