I too was thinking of buying a seven series BMW in the last year. I've never owned on, but everyone I know who has warned me off. Electrical problems were a commonly mentioned item.

Besides that, I have not been on a better forum than this one. Find a good mechanic and some good friends (like you will here) and you've got it made.
