iTunes is the most seamless way to obtain tunes for your iPod. Works best if you have a Mac of course, but the Windows version works...usually.
My daughter has a Nano and downloads regularly from the iTunes software on my XP.
As I stated earlier, their Mac support is far better than their Windows software...right now, there is a service pack contention with the latest release...I can't get the install to work properly.
