I have an '87 300SDL with a serious low rpm lack of power or torque and cannot find credible or competent documentation or knowledgeable counsel to correct or even attempt to diagnose the problem. Once the engine gets near 3000rpm it has more than enough power, but once shifting drops the revs ...hardly any!!

Any takers?
