Missing the critical point - rust and corrosion don't attack just one part, they attack the whole car, whether you can see it or not. What you can see is the tip of the iceberg. It's not just the underbody and eventually paint but also hundreds of nuts and bolts and other fasteners that are going to be harder to break loose than they should be, and it just gets worse over time.
