The one for the late 1995 E320 is the same as that for the 1996 (which it should be, since it is the same engine), and is much bigger than the filter for the earlier 1995's. I learned this when I purchased the "wrong," smaller filter yesterday and had to return it for the correct one. The parts guy pointed out that the late 95 and 96 E320s use the same filter.

My car has all of the special edition options -- telecoping steering wheel, steel door sills, memory seats, ASR, etc. -- except for zebrano and 6-hole wheels. It is understandable, and forgiveable, that it would be (mis)labeled "Special."
