I know the oil pan is removable, thats how the oil intake was cleaned. I am not sure how it was done as at the time I simply could not figure out what was wrong so I sent it to my mech (the best in the state of CT) and he figured it out pretty quick. I would rather not have to do that again because he is not free and I am perfectly capable of doing most things myself.
