On a diesel, stomping the accelerator usually just gets you a lot of black smoke unless you are up to speed and using the kickdown switch to pass someone. Even then you will find that there is a "sweet spot" where you will get good acceleration. Diesels drive a little different than gassers in this respect.

I would ensure the alda and boost lines are doing what they should then look at the tranny shifting. This information did the trick for adjusting mine: http://articles.mbz.org/transmission/adjust/
