I have a 77 300D, just got it 2 weeks ago, and love it. I am new to Mercedes and diesel. The AC doesnt work, i live in the PNW, teperate summers, don't need cold air. So could I remove this belt without disrupting any other functions? Is there any reason to have the belt on if i dont use the AC? I do use the heat, (*newbie alert*) does that have anything to do with the AC?
