Window regulator clip 1983 300SD

The little white clip that connects the regulator to the window glass on my 1983 300sd failed yesterday. I was on the road and put all 4 windows down. I went to put the windows up and all of them went up except the drivers side rear. It was still making noise so I figure some clip broke and sure engouh thats what it was. The white clip under the window glass that holds the window regulator and kind of seperate and the regulator arm popped off of it so it wasnt connected to the window glass. I simply pushed the clip back together on the regulator arm and the window is now working. Will i need to buy a new clip?
