Mike, I've been using a Griot's Garage manual oil extractor for 8 years ... very satisfied. A suction valve automatically opens when the extractor is full so there's no need to worry about overflowing the extractor. Merely empty the extractor, pump the handle to create vacuum and extract any remaining oil from the engine.
