Have any of you ever ordered parts or accessories from overseas?

I'm thinking of ordering the A/C vent trim set, the chrome transmission frame (they call it, oddly, a "shaftboard mulding"), and a shift knob. I don't want to order something, find it doesn't fit, and have the hassle of returning it to Germany -- but I haven't seen the A/C vent trim anywhere else, and it would make sense to order it all from one place, nicht wahr?
Any experiences you've had, or suggestions for US companies instead, would be appreciated.
