My dash takes the oval 4x6's. But, I figured that if these 3.5 inch Bose units (now ended, but plenty of other's available...) were a good choice, I could very easily make a mount plate out of steel for them, and coat it with dynamat to keep it from ringing.

But, will these Bose speakers have probs due to not being in the dash they were intended for? Enclosure size differences, etc.......

My mom's Jeep has the Infinity Gold system with an aftermarket Blaupunkt Montreal head unit, sounds dead fabulous. If I new that system would work perfectly in my Benz, you can bet I'd be retrofitting one from a boneyard!
