How is it shoot first and ask questions later? She was ordered to drop the knife a couple of times according to the story. According to the police she made a move to attack them. They had no time to decide if she was serious about killing them or not and so they fired 5 shots. If I broke into your house and you had the drop on me and asked me to drop the knife and I charged at you. What would YOU do? I know I'd empty the clip into you or you stop. Whichever comes first. I cannot expect them to do different. You cannot ask them to lay down their lives for your cousin.
I doubt your uncle will get anywheres. Look at you. You are trying to see if you can sue them. I wouldn't talk to you either if I were them. I learnt the hard way to have my attorney talk to them.
