Did any of the W123 models have an outside temperature gauge with a dash-mounted readout? I ask this because I've just found an "abandoned" wire pair (blue&brown) in my engine bay. See this post that I just made to the Diesel Discussion:

A responder wondered if one of the gasoline 123s had an outside temp gauge so I figured this would be the place to ask. Any other ideas as to the purpose of this wire pair would be graciously received.
