Okay, I finally found it!!! The head was lodged over to the right below the left fan/vent duct work.

All along it was right there - well, sort of.
There was a black wire that looped back towards the speedo/cluster that was higher up. I was afraid to pull on it b/c I thought it might go somewhere else.

I pulled it a little at a time and it eventually pulled the connector up from where it was lodged.

Speaker is now in and working just fine. Yippee!!!
