I owned an '01 E55 and agree that for every day driving on most US roads the ride can be harsh. I believe the primary "culprits" are stiff bushings and the rear shocks. Since replacing the bushings with softer ones would be more expensive and would probably hurt the resale value of your car, you might consider swapping the rear shocks for something less stiff or at least with adjustable damping. I don't know if the sport suspension option uses the same springs, bushings and shocks as the E55 or not. If it doesn't, you might consider a set of rear shocks for the sport suspension. If they are the same, try a set of KONI's instead. Mark
