Just got a raw deal on E55!

I made a deal on a silver 2000 E55 with Nav & 12k miles at a used car dealer in Brooklyn, NY. The financial aspects and my trade issues had been settled for 2 weeks. I had Carlsson wheels and the dealer insisted on the OEM wheels, which I had sold. He also wanted me to remove the AMG muffler, chrome headlight & foglight rings. I had to buy refinished wheels and more tires. This E55 was on EBAY, however, I did not bid on it. The highest bid after 3 auctions was only $53,600. They wanted $64,900. I drove from DC to NYC with my trade (98 E430) and my certified check. Put my tags on the E55, transfered the luggage, & loaded up the CD changer. While I was checking the tire air pressure on the Michelin Pilot Sports for the high speed drive back to DC the dealer comes out and says there was a problem. Here is his story:

He (dealer) was supposedly selling the car on EBAY and his lot as a favor on consignment for an unnamed Pro Hockey player for the NY Rangers. The hockey puck had okayed the deal two days prior and now he wants $2500 more and the dealer wants $750 for a repaired scratch on my car. The deal changed by $3250 while I waited. I insisted on the original deal and the dealer says he can not sell the E55 because the hockey puck has the title and wants the extra $2500. The dealer claimed to be upset because the hockey puck changed his mind. I offered an additional $1500 just to close the deal.

I drove back to DC with my trusty E430 and $250 from the dealer for my troubles. My search continues.
