I have the HAYNES U.K. manual with the directions, your car dosen't have the electronic key?

they do make a distinction between LOCK CYLINDER & COMPLETE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
sounds like you want just to do LOCK CYLINDER.

they do say you need a special tool (no. 202589001400) and describe how a homemade version can be built - used to depress the circular locking plate around the cylinder lock, while using the ignition key at the same time.

they also describe how once the lock cylinder is removed it must not be turned from position one while the lock cylinder is removed, or the steering lock will be permanently engaged.

if you have the special tool and can verify that the Haynes U.K. manual will work on your car I'll type out the complete instructions.
